The absolute worst loan experience I've ever had from beginning to end. Do not use their services. Online banking doesn't work, customer service is terrible, their staff isn't adequately trained, and the list of problems goes on. Save yourself the trouble!

I purchased an auto on 3/22 and canceled the GAP insurance on the auto. The dealer sent $729 to FNB. They applied the $729 to a loan I had co-signed for, not the loan it was intended for. I called, and they told me they can open a closed, paid-in-full loan and charge $729 to a closed account for their error in bookkeeping.

This is the worst bank I have ever encountered. Avoid this company at all costs. My car loan is through FNB since they gave me the lowest interest rate, but they make it a huge pain in the butt to pay off your car loan. I have had to call them three times (and counting) to figure out how make supplemental principal-only payments, and they always apply the payment to my interest first and skip my monthly auto-pays. Every time I call and complain about this or ask them to fix it, they tell me that the department was confused and give some lame excuse. They tell me that I submitted the payment correctly, and it was an issue on their end. I have zero confidence that they will get it right next time. There is no way to make loan payments through online banking unless you have a checking account through FNB (which I would not recommend) so you have to mail a check to them. This is the only way to make additional payments.
Worst of all, I opened up an HSA account with them since my car loan was already here, and it was a huge mistake. I almost immediately moved it over to Fidelity. They do not offer investment options for HSA, but worst of all, when I transferred pre-tax money from an old HSA account over to FNB, they accidentally applied it to my car loan. I was livid. I called and was able to get it corrected, so I am hoping there are no issues when I file taxes next year.

Suggest you take an extra step at protecting yourself by purchasing a Post Office Money Order. Sure, it costs but you're in control when you put "Apply To Principle Only" in the notation. In addition, if they ever say they didn't receive your money order the USPS will investigate it (fee of course) and provide you with proof the money order was signed for and cashed or deposited and who signed for it.
Doing this way sends a message that you're not a victim of their "mistakes" that always benefit them--not you. This way you have proof if you wind up having to talk to an attorney about their practices.
The other thing? Once you've got a few money order payments under your belt file a formal complaint to the Office of The Inspector General or ask which USGOV agency handles mismanagement and FRAUD by banks!
Contact the IRS now to inquire about your HSA concerns. Believe it or not, they are people who want to help when asked before things get crazy! You can even ask the IRS if they can look into what the bank is doing with your misapplied payments.
Stay calm. Keep good notes. If you talk to FNB note the date, the person you spoke with, and the time. They may be playing fast and fancy with you now but you have the option to legally reduce your principle. FNB never willingly reduces the principle when customers try to alleviate debt. They don't make money that way!

i hate that you have to pay cash every time with the little check slip. i wish there was a way i could pay online instead, it’s more convenient that way.

Contact a bank that you can switch to. Maybe the new bank will pay off FNB so your payments can be made online at your new spot. Look into it. It's worth it for you!

Great place to get an RV loan. I got a competitive rate and easy to make payments and monitor online. I would recommend First national bank for an auto/rv loan.

Terrible, terrible, terrible. Cannot get any information if you do not have a phone number attached to your loan, which they didn't do at the time loan was given. You cannot reach anybody to add your phone to your account. Ridiculous!!

Awful. You're not able to make a payment online or on an automated system. Speaking to someone takes longer than it should. I attempted to make a payment on my car loan today over the phone, as today is the last day of the ten day grace period. I was told I couldn't make a payment over the phone because the payment hasn't been marked as late, I'd have to call tomorrow, when it's late, to be able to pay it.. ?? So to be clear, if you want to pay your bill on time, they won't let you because it's not late... Making you pay more money and getting a hit on your credit. Absolutely terrible to make people pay a late fee for absolutely no reason.

Don't ever get a car with First national. I have had a few loans threw cars and this is by car the worst one. It is the most inconvenient bank loan i have ever had. First.. You cannot make payments online with is so insane to me considering we are in 2022.. second. it takes years to get a hold of someone if you are having an issue. i spoke to a lady in regards to online banking and payments and she said she has had multiple complains but yet no one can do this. If i would have known this bank was this inconvenient i would have went with another bank. I absolutely hate this bank.. So do you self a favor.. and turn around and look for car loans with other banks. trust me, because if not. you will regret it instantly.. something needs to be don't about this online banking. there needs to be an option to pay online. The clearly are just to lazy to implement this.

This is the worst bank I ever used for a car/truck loan in my life. At least 4-5 times a year my payment is lost and then suddenly after two weeks they cash it. so now i have to pay a late fee. But somehow all my other bills I mailed out made it there on time. Then they told me it's because I'm on the other side of the state. I laughed so loud in the phone, I might of popped the guy's eardrum. I wish I would of checked their reviews before deciding to use them for my loan.

This car loan was mistakenly added to my 2018 bankruptcy. I made payments and have title in hand. If it was written off who was it I spoke with monthly to let them know I sent my monthly paymt. I did however make at least 1 1/2 payments a month to try to make up for it. This is not a write off for the bank or me it is paid in full. I will have to have my lawyer take up this issue with FNB of Pa. to improve my credit.
