The
American Express® Gold Card is a good card that is worthwhile for people with good credit or better who are heavy spenders. Amex Gold provides rewards rates that are above the market average in addition to a welcome offer of
60,000 points for spending $6,000 in the first 6 months after opening an account.
Amex Gold provides a couple of other interesting perks, too. First of all, it gives you up to $120 per year in Uber Cash for Uber Eats orders (or Uber rides) in the U.S, when you add your card in your Uber account. You can also get up to $120 in credits each year for purchases from a list of dining partners, including Grubhub and select Shake Shack locations, when you enroll.
You’ll need to take full advantage of Amex Gold’s rewards and benefits for the card to be worth its
$250 annual fee.

Just make sure the merchants in your favorite international destinations accept Amex, if the Amex Gold Card’s
0% foreign fee is relevant to your situation.
