What's Your Rating?
I applied for the card after receiving an email with a link to apply stating there is a $100 bonus after spending $500 in the first 90 days. I've spent over 5K in the first month and 6 months later still no bonus. I was told after sending them the invitation email that I applied from that I do not qualify because it is not in my T&C's and I should have read them when I received the card. This is completely false advertising. So disappointed and I'm closing my account.
2 stars because I haven't had any problems getting my money transferred to UPromise, though it takes a LONG time.
If you're considering partner up with Upromise credit card, you should read my review:
I was unaware I have a statement with Upromise Credit Card for Uber on October 28, 2017, for $7.17. I did not receive a statement in my email or in the mail about this the amount or aware that I have a statement with Upromise/ Brclybankde credit card. The only reason how I would find out about this statement is through my Chase Credit Check that I am now currently partnering up with. I spent two hours on the phone, with 5 different representatives, got pass through 3 or 4 different departments tried to get this settle on February 28, 2019. Talked to all the representatives about 30 minutes of those two hours and was on hold for about one hour and thirty minutes. By 6 PM the department that I was supposed to, the claim department, is now closed and Upromise asked me to call back tomorrow. I also spent another hour today (March 1, 2018), talking to Anna, one of the supervisors, with the employee number 28638 and she has told me to write in a dispute with the Credit Bureau because her hands were tied to Brclybankde regulations. This $7.17 has now accumulated to about $215 because of all of the late fees. Since I was unaware of the statement or known about it in the first place and has to go to one of Upromise competitors credit check to find out that I have a negative balance, I am refused to pay the accumulated late fees that I have on my statement. Upromise has close this credit card because of “Derogatory,” I’m shocked how Upromise business operate by this because there was no contact from Upromise and me getting trying this settle. Because of this problem my credit score has been very bad from a statement I was unaware of. Now, I don't have the card in my possession anymore.
Upromise had messed up my credit score because they fail to tell me about the negative balance. I receive zero communication from Upromise from which they claim they have tried to contact me with zero proves. If you're looking for a better business operation I would say go somewhere off, save yourself the time and headache.
The practically guaranteed 5% cash back from Upromise Mastar Card (the reason I applied for this credit card) for paying for those online portal purchases was sadly more unreliable than the online shopping bonus. To date I have only received 5% cash back from my Priceline.com discount airfare purchase and Drugstore.com purchases. None of my other purchases through the Upromise online portal has given me more than 1% cash back.
The bottom line: I have to use a spreadsheet to track every spending I make and every reward I receive, so I know when to file missing reward claims. If you want to get this card you should get a spreadsheet ready, too.
